Regional Category Lead - Strategic Sourcing

We have recently renewed our 5 year contract with one of the world’s leading FMCG brands and one of the most prestigious contracts in the Display sector, we have also had several new clients join TMS globally over the past year resulting in our teams growing. Due to this growth and the development of our Strategic Sourcing structure, we have a new opportunity for a Regional Category Manager within our Strategic sourcing team to look after our EMEA region. We think being based in either the UK or Central Europe would be best for covering this region successfully but we’re happy to consider all locations in Europe.
As the Regional Category Lead you will be the regional expert across all categories (3D Temp, Print, Perm etc) and will have the greatest understanding and in-depth knowledge of the supplier landscape in your region. With your expertise you will play an important part in helping define the sourcing strategies with the Global Category Leads for all relevant categories (3D Temp, Print, Perm etc) and then you will be responsible for delivering it throughout the local supply chain.
You will be based in the central team within this region and will be overseeing and supporting all sourcing requirements for relevant categories, advising the local job managers in line with the spend/ supplier segmentation. You will also be collaborating with the Global category Leads, local client facing teams and category support functions to deliver commercial value by improving cost position and/or improved performance to ensure we meet and exceed our contractual requirements to our clients.
This role would be a great fit for you if you have experience as a sourcing professional in Supply Chain or procurement and have category management experience. You will need to have previous experience within Print /POS ‘Point of sale’/Display categories, whether that be within distribution, e-commerce, implementations, inventory, marketing production, operational print/stock, Point of sale: semi-permanent, promotional products, stock replenishments or studio/pre-press.
Skills and attributes for success
- Fluent English, written and spoken and any additional languages local to this region.
- Supply Chain or procurement background
- 3D Temp, Print, Perm Display Category experience
- Experience of delivering sourcing strategies.
