Our central Sales team at the Packaging Head Office has an opportunity for a POS Category Manager. The successful candidate will develop and execute sales opportunities and deploy them for all cross-regional customer POS solutions. The role is responsible to build growth in the DS Smith customer group for POS Solutions that drive value to our manufacturing plants for POS materials and if appropriate to our sourcing division TMS. Working as part of a small team, this role will lead the POS Sales, for cross-regional business defined as customers that require POS to be delivered across more than one market.
The role will either be based in the UK or Brussels, Belgium and requires European travel up to 50% of the time.
Main Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following
- Leads the sales of all cross-regional POS opportunities against the annual growth plan targets as determined by the Global POS Solutions Director - Leads the process from identification of the opportunity through to deployment of the business across the POS Network in line with the agreed operating model
- Manages the construction and updates of the working platform of opportunities, within the DS Smith agreed CRM platform - Supports revenue growth in line with the corporate plan -> 50% growth within 3 years - Ensures growth opportunities are in line with the profitability targets of the organisation - Responsible for the Project Management of all new opportunities and utilising the resources across the DS Smith Regions to deliver timely responses to opportunities - Supports the Global POS Solutions Director in developing and continually evolving the Value Proposition to meet market needs
- Supports the Global POS Solutions Director on development and deployment of the Operating Model(s) required to deliver the growth solutions - Leads the implementations of all sales growth delivered for cross-regional POS solutions in line with Operating Model agreed with the customer
- Develops a working relationship with the cross-regional hub in Germany for development of opportunities. This team will be developed to support all opportunities that are produced across the European territory and dedicated to the Global POS Solutions sales team - Develop a network of POS champions across the regions to support the development and deployment of the POS opportunities - Assemble ad hoc teams from across the Regions to work on specific POS related projects or challenges
